4: The Holy Spirit is the power of God which he uses to fulfil His purpose or Holy Will.
Job 33 verse 4
4: The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
Romans 8 verse 11
11: But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

3: The Bible is the inspired Word of God given by Him to benefit mankind.
2 Timothy 3 verse 16

16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
1 Peter verse 20 & 21
20: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21: For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost

6: Jesus overcame all temptation and died to save his followers from sin and death.
Romans 10 verses 9 to 13

9 :That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10: For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11: For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

1 Timothy 1 verses 15 & 16
15 :This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16: Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

7: Jesus was raised from the dead by God. Later he ascended into heaven but he will return.
Acts 2 verses 22 to 27

22 : Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23:  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
25: For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

27: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Acts 1 verse 11
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

2: God created the entire Universe and has a great purpose for the world

      Genesis 1 verse 1

      1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
     
Numbers 14 verse 21
     
21: But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.

12. Salvation involves covering our sins through Christ and freedom from sin and death at his coming.
Hebrews 9 verses 27 & 28

27: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

1 Peter 2 verses 21 to 24
21: For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

5: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is also the “Son of Man” through his mother, Mary.
Luke 1 verse 35

35: And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Romans 1 verses 3 & 4
3: Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4: And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

​14. Belief in God’s promises about the Kingdom of God and the work of Jesus Christ is essential.
Galatians 3 verses 6 to 9
6: Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7: Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8: And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9: So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Verse 14
14: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Verse 16
16: Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Verses 26 to 29
26: For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27: For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29: And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
 

15. Repentance followed by baptism into Christ by full immersion in water and following him daily, are necessary for ultimate salvation.
Mark 16 verse 15
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Romans 6 verse 14

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace

13. When we die we cease to exist. The only hope of life is by resurrection at Christ’s return.
Ecclesiastes 9 verses 5 & 6
5: For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6: Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Romans 5 verse 21
21: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

10. The followers of Christ, made immortal, will help him to bring everlasting righteousness and peace worldwide.
Micah 4 verses 1 – 5
1: But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
2: And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
3: And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Matthew 19 verses 27 to 29
27: Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
28: And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29: And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

8: When Jesus returns to the earth he will raise and judge the responsible dead and give eternal life to all faithful.
Daniel 12 verses 1 & 2
1: And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2: And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
John 5 verses 28 & 29
28:Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29: And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

11. The devil is not a supernatural being but is another name for sin, destroyed only in Christ.
Matthew 15 verses 19 & 20
19: For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

 Hebrews 2 verses 14 & 15
14: Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15: And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

We are members of a worldwide community established 150 years ago. The name Christadelphian means (a Brother or Sister in Christ)
Quite simply, our aim is to follow as closely as possible the teaching and example of Jesus, as recorded in the Bible.

We endeavour to read the whole Bible at least once a year and that reading has led to the following beliefs,

1: There is only one true God, He dwells in heaven, and is immortal, invisible, an all - powerful.
Isaiah 45 verses 5 & 6

5: I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
6: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else.

1 Timothy 6 verses 15 & 16
15: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16: Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

​​9. He will be King over the restored Kingdom of God in Israel and over the whole world.
Isaiah 9 verses 6 & 7

6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7: Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Zechariah 14 verse 9
9: And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
